Grant Application
2024 GRANT APPLICATIONS
2024 GRANT APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED
Grants are made to 501(c)(3) organizations that are located in the 43402 and 43403 zip code and school district areas. The Foundation does not make grants to individuals except through scholarship funds established specifically for that purpose. Annual awards range from $500 to $7,500. You may contact us at bgcf@bgohcf.org if you have any questions. Grant applications are open yearly from middle of August to first week of October and awarded in January of the following calendar year. The grant process is currently closed until August 2025 when the application will be available.
Read all steps below before beginning your application process.
Step 1:
Download the document below. This will serve as the signature page for your grant application. This must be signed by the applicant and the CEO or President of the organization that is a 501(c)(3). If you are an organization that is not a 501(c)(3) but have a sponsoring organization, you must have a signature of the CEO or President of the sponsoring organization that makes them aware that they are fiscally responsible for the grant funding. After getting the necessary signatures, have it ready to upload as part of the application.
ep 2:
The following documents must be submitted with your application. Please name the files with your organization’s name followed by the name of the document (ex. BGCF_taxexcemption.pdf) and have them prepared and ready to upload as part of the application.
a.) A copy of your organization’s 501(c)(3) tax exemption document. If you are not a 501(c)(3), a copy of your sponsoring organization’s 501c3 tax exemption document must be submitted.
b.) A document with the names and affiliations of your organization’s board of trustees, executive committee, and/or volunteers for this project.
c.) The signed form from Step 1.Step 3:
Two tools have been developed by the BGCF Grants Committee to make it easier for non-profit organizations to understand how the applications are evaluated by trustee members of the committee. We are asking that you download the attached documents below and read them before completing the application. The document you sign in Step 1 states that you have read and understand what is presented on these forms and they should be used as a tool to make sure your application is complete.
Step 5:
The document below contains all the questions that will be asked in the online application. You can use this document to have your answers prepared ahead of completing and submitting the application. This document is only to be used as reference and will not be accepted as an application unless arrangements have been made with BGCF. Only applications through our online form will be accepted.
Step 6:
Once you have everything prepared, complete your grant application using the link below.
